Battery & Battery Pack FAQs

When I sign up for a WHOOP Strap, is a battery pack included?

Yes! You will receive a package that contains your new WHOOP Strap 3.0, a battery pack and USB charging cord.

How can I order additional battery packs?

You can order additional battery packs online at the WHOOP Store. Additional or replacement battery pack cost $30, and come with a USB cord. Please note, there is a limit of 4 battery packs per order.

If you've lost your USB cord, but still have your battery pack, you may opt to purchase or use another USB cord, rather than buying a new battery pack.

Can I use the battery pack from my old WHOOP Strap?

Yes! The battery packs for the 2.0 and 3.0 WHOOP Straps are interchangeable.

What is the battery life of a WHOOP Strap?

WHOOP Strap 3.0's battery life is 4-5 days. Please note, using Strain Coach and WHOOP Live for long periods of time can also have an impact on battery life. If you're experiencing an issue with your Strap's battery life, please reach out to our Membership Services team, and we'll assist you.

Is the battery pack waterproof?

Unlike the WHOOP Strap, the battery pack is not waterproof and should not be exposed to water. Ex: if you wore your WHOOP Strap in the shower, avoid charging it until the Strap is dry.

What happens if my battery dies in the middle of the night?

If your battery dies while your sleep is being auto-detected, your sleep session will end at the point at which your battery died. You can edit this information to reflect your actual time in bed, but this may cause your sleep to appear as incomplete, depending on how much time is unaccounted for. If your sleep is incomplete, you will not see recovery data.

What do I do if my WHOOP Strap runs out of battery completely?

If the WHOOP Strap completely runs out of battery, simply slide a charged battery pack onto your Strap, and the Strap will turn back on. A fully-charged battery pack will charge the Strap to 100% of its battery life.

Once the Strap turns back on, be sure to connect it to your phone via Bluetooth to ensure that the Strap is collecting data.
