Strain Coach - Route Tracking Using GPS

Tracking your Route

While the WHOOP Strap itself is not equipped with GPS, you can track your route for different activities using Strain Coach and your mobile device.

To track your route, open Strain Coach in the WHOOP app, select an activity of choice, make sure "Track Route" is toggled on, and start your activity. Make sure to carry your phone with you for the duration of your activity.

Troubleshooting Route Data

Route data may be recorded incorrectly if at any time your mobile device loses GPS connection or records coordinates that deviate from your actual path. While WHOOP does its best to optimize route, distance, and pace calculations using the data collected, the best way to ensure accurate measurements is to ensure a strong GPS signal on your device.

Tips:

- Allow your device to fully acquire a GPS signal before starting your activity
- Avoid low signal or otherwise problematic areas for obtaining GPS (e.g. covered areas, around tall buildings)
- Disable any battery optimization settings for the WHOOP app
