The WHOOP Journal allows you to track over 40 behaviors (including medication usage, supplements, recovery modalities, nutrition, and more) to monitor their impact on your Recovery, Strain, and Sleep.
Over time, the WHOOP system will provide analysis as to how these various behaviors impact your WHOOP data.
For example, if you are curious about the effect that blue-light blocking glasses have on your Sleep and Recovery, the Journal will allow you to track and identify their impact!
Accessing the WHOOP Journal
The Journal will appear automatically each day once a Sleep has been processed. Additionally, you can review and edit previous answers by selecting the "clipboard and pencil" icon on the Overview screen.
Customizing the WHOOP Journal
You can choose from a wide variety of behaviors by selecting the 'Customize Journal' button, found in the top-right corner of the Journal. After adding or removing various behaviors, select the checkmark in the upper right corner to save the changes.
Completing A Journal Entry
For each behavior you've chosen, a card will appear asking you if you participated in that behavior during the previous day. Swipe right for "Yes" and left for "No". Additionally, you can select the "Yes" and "No" text on the bottom of each card to log your response.
Editing A Previous Journal Entry
You can edit any Journal entry within the previous 7 days.
First, navigate to the day you wish to edit. Then, open the Journal and select the 'Edit' (pencil) icon. You can now record your new responses.
Once you select 'Save' at the end of the Journal, your updated responses will be saved.
What do the numbers mean below?
The numbers beneath each card represent the number of times you've answered "Yes" and "No" within the previous 90 days. Over time, you can get a sense of how often you participate or engage in a certain behavior.
Where can I find the analysis?
The *Monthly Performance Assessment, delivered on the 1st of each month, will provide the latest analysis as to how each tracked behavior impacts various Recovery and Sleep metrics. In order for the analysis to be comprehensive, a sufficient amount of data is required -- keep logging data each day to make sure your analysis is as thorough as possible!
*Note: You need 28 total recoveries to get your first MPA.
Is my data used beyond the analysis provided by my Monthly Performance Assessment?
