Missing Data
Missing heart rate data in the WHOOP app could occur for the following reasons:
Delayed data sync
This may happen if your WHOOP is behind in syncing data to the WHOOP app.
Resolution:
- Make sure your device is within range of your phone
- Ensure it is connected via your phone's Bluetooth menu
- Confirm that you see the two checkmarks at the bottom of the overview screen in the WHOOP app indicating your device is connected:
- Make sure the WHOOP app stays open in the background on your phone. As long as the app is open, your data will catch up
WHOOP battery is dead
If your device's battery has died, it will not collect data.
Resolution:
- Connect your battery pack to your WHOOP to charge it
WHOOP is sensing it is off-body
If your WHOOP senses that it is not being worn (for example, on your wrist or bicep) it will turn off and stop collecting data. If you believe that your device is falsely sensing that it is off your body when it is actually on your body, completing the following steps will help resolve the issue.
Resolution:
- Reboot your device:
- Open the WHOOP app
- Navigate to the menu
- Open Device Settings
- Select Advanced, followed by Reboot Device
Note: Rebooting your device does not result in any prior data loss or a need to recalibrate
- Make sure you are on the latest firmware version:
- Open the WHOOP app
- Navigate to the menu
- Open Device Settings
- Select Advanced, followed by Firmware Check
